About the role#
Pure Power Engineering is looking for an engineering student to design commercial and utility scale solar PV systems. This internship runs from early June to late August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and engineer commercial PV solar systems ranging from 100kW to 20MW.
- Integrate energy storage systems into solar PV designs.
- Create construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Prepare specifications, gather data, and complete utility interconnection and building permit applications.
- Perform site-specific production analysis of PV arrays using tools like PVsyst.
- Travel to project sites occasionally to collect data.
What you'll need#
- A BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience using AutoCAD.
- Previous internship experience at an MEP firm focusing on traditional building design.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Denver, Colorado.
- The schedule is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and in-office work.
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
