About the role#
QTS Data Centers offers a Summer 2027 internship for students interested in internal IT operations. This role provides direct exposure to the technology team and the infrastructure that supports data center operations. You will work on projects tied to real company objectives, participate in site-based activities, and attend weekly lunch and learn sessions.
What you'll do#
- Organize and handle incoming IT ticket requests.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Facilitate access to IT tools for staff members.
- Use PowerShell to initiate technical solutions.
- Maintain task logs and project portfolios to distribute requests.
- Assist the technology team with daily operations.
- Track budgets, project schedules, and status reports.
- Respond to break-fix issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Define and track agile development for software features.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, or Data Science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- US Citizenship.
- Experience with data analysis tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python or Java.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in technology, finance, construction, HR, or facilities engineering.
- Involvement in community activities, athletics, or clubs.
- Preference for students enrolled in partner institutions or Blackstone Launchpad affiliate schools.
