About the role#
This internship provides exposure to aviation manufacturing through assignments in part manufacturing, assembly, and specialties like coating, welding, forging, and machining. You will work on improvement projects and day to day tasks, culminating in a presentation of your results to high level managers and executives.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate operations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Review and analyze work cell, process, and material flows to establish standard work.
- Conduct labor and machine capacity analysis.
- Maintain and update time standards for established operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Major in Industrial and System Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with data mining and manipulation using Excel, VBA, SQL, or other methods.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience at RTX is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
