About the role#
This Systems Engineer internship provides an opportunity to work directly with KC-135 platform systems. You will join a team focused on the engineering processes required to maintain and improve these aircraft systems. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply KC-135 systems engineering processes.
- Capture, define, and allocate system requirements.
- Verify and validate system requirements to ensure performance standards.
- Perform and support system tests in a lab environment, including both formal and informal test events.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement new KC-135 features.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
- Active enrollment status through the completion of the internship.
- Prior experience with KC-135 Platform Systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Cedar Rapids for test events and environment updates.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
- Previous internship or work experience with RTX or Collins Aerospace is preferred.
