About the role#
Royal Electric Company is seeking an intern to join our Preconstruction Management team in Sacramento for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in electrical design and construction operations. You will work directly with our team to support project planning and field documentation.
What you'll do#
- Review Requests for Proposals to identify key project content.
- Help develop project schedules and conduct material takeoffs.
- Reach out to vendors and subcontractors through phone and email.
- Document job site conditions through photography.
- Research potential project partners and attend department meetings.
- Travel to job sites as needed to assist with project tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- You must comply with all safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment on job sites.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 15 pounds, and perform tasks like kneeling or reaching.

- Compensation: $22-$27 per hour.
