About the role#
Royal Electric Company is hiring for a Virtual Construction Internship in our Dallas office for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid position where you will gain hands-on experience by supporting our Virtual Construction team. You will work on-site to assist with design workflows and project modeling.
What you'll do#
- Design room unit layouts for installation using digital drawing tools.
- Collaborate with VC Modeler 2 to ensure design accuracy.
- Create stub rack spools for prefabrication by building 3D models and breaking them into spool sheets.
- Use Revit for BIM modeling and design workflows.
- Shadow team members in coordination meetings to learn about cross-collaboration.
- Model electrical components like ceiling lights, wall panels, and transformers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college program focused on Architecture, Heavy Civil, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Artificial Intelligence, or Computer Science.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Suite, and coding techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical field concepts.
- Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior-level teams.
- A creative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE and comply with all safety standards.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 15 pounds.

- Compensation: $22-$27 per hour.
