About the role#
This internship provides an introduction to public accounting. You will work as a full member of the team for at least eight weeks. Each intern receives a Career Advocate to help set personal goals and objectives. The program includes an orientation covering administrative and professional topics, along with training on our accounting and tax networks.
What you'll do#
- Communicate directly with clients and team members.
- Perform client work both in the office and at client locations.
- Complete audit testing and procedures on key engagement areas.
- Research and analyze industry data and comparable company information from public documents.
- Write reports covering company background, financial reviews, and economic outlooks.
- Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements.
- Gain insight into audit risk assessment and internal control analysis.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status in college.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
