About the role#
RubinBrown LLP offers an internship designed to introduce students to public accounting. You will be treated as a full-time team member and assigned a Career Advocate to help you set and reach personal goals. You will receive an orientation covering administrative and professional matters and training on our accounting and tax software systems.
What you'll do#
You will work full-time for at least eight weeks. Your tasks include direct communication with clients and staff, both in our office and at client locations. You will handle compliance work for Federal, State, Local, and Wealth-Management practice areas. You will also create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements, analyze internal controls, and research industry data.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses.
- Prior completion of an Auditing or Tax class is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills.
