About the role#
Saab in West Lafayette is hiring Engineering students for a paid Manufacturing Engineering internship during the summer of 2027. You will work within the Production Support and Design organization to gain hands-on experience in aircraft design and production. This role provides an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering projects while working alongside senior engineers.
What you'll do#
- Complete a specific project assigned by your department manager that includes clear deliverables.
- Work with an assigned mentor to receive feedback and project guidance.
- Participate in cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement with quality, manufacturing, and tooling groups.
- Contribute directly to manufacturing process improvements and problem-solving events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Completion of your freshman year by the time of hire.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Status as a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual.
