About the role#
This position is open to currently enrolled Saint Mary's College students. The student crew supports the physical logistics, setup, and teardown of event venues for dance and theatre productions. Available roles include stage management, sound, light, projection and video operation, and prop and stage crew. Tasks vary based on the specific production and assigned position.
What you'll do#
- Manage the physical setup and teardown of event venues.
- Operate technical equipment including soundboards, lighting boards, and video recording gear.
- Use power tools, hand tools, and stationary saws as required by the production.
- Complete mandatory training for your specific position before beginning crew assignments.
- Follow directions provided by faculty advisors, production staff, and student stage managers.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to attend all required rehearsals and performances for your assigned crew.
- Completion of safety training, including procedures for ladder usage and working from heights.
- Willingness to follow instructions from supervisors and faculty.
