About the role#
The Student Technologist works in the Huisking Instructional Technology Resource Center. You will support faculty, staff, and students by managing classroom technology and software. This is a paid position for Saint Mary's students.
What you'll do#
- Assist faculty and students with classroom technology and software use.
- Respond to campus calls for technical support.
- Troubleshoot and document issues with instructional hardware and software.
- Install, remove, and maintain equipment like projectors, document cameras, and audio tools.
- Train users on digital accessibility and software tools including Blackboard, Kaltura, and Google Suite.
- Verify the condition of equipment during the loaning process.
- Assist with course building and testing new tools.
What you'll need#
- Knowledge of computer technologies, projectors, monitors, and webcams.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Majors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design are encouraged to apply.
- Availability to arrive on campus one week early for training.
