About the role#
Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Intern to support projects in environmental, geotechnical, solid waste, hydrogeological, mechanical, and electrical engineering. You will work alongside staff engineers and scientists on projects that include both office and field components. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Learn the day-to-day responsibilities of a professional engineer.
- Apply your academic knowledge to hands-on project work.
- Assist with the preparation of permit applications.
- Review and interpret compliance data.
- Conduct field investigations and assist with sample collection, processing, and management.
- Perform administrative office duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or a recent degree from an engineering program (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical).
- Strong attention to detail, technical understanding, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and a flexible schedule.
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel to various project locations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Python, R, EQuIS, and Microsoft Power Suite is desirable.
Location & details#
- Positions are available in Bedford, NH; Burlington, VT; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA.
- This is an on-site role with a rolling term.
- Work is full-time, Monday through Friday, with flexible daily hours.
