About the role#
This is a 12-week fieldwork assignment for OT or OTA students. You will work 40 hours per week in a day program setting. The role involves 1-on-1 training and mentoring, along with collaborative work alongside other interns and staff from various departments.
What you'll do#
You will work with clients who have serious mental illness (SMI). Your tasks include:
- Completing evaluations and assessments.
- Developing intervention plans.
- Leading group sessions.
- Engaging with clients on a 1-on-1 basis.
- Performing home environment assessments.
- Helping clients participate in community activities.
What you'll need#
- You must be an enrolled student in an accredited OT or OTA program.
- You must be pre-selected by the Sheppard Pratt OT through your school.
Location & details#
- Location: Catonsville, Maryland.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: This position is on-site with some remote assignments as directed by your clinical instructor.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
