About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12 week summer program based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role offers hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will gain insight into a career in outside sales by traveling with a Sales Representative and working directly with the store management team. Interns also complete a team-based project that addresses real business issues.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items to customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise.
- Restock shelves, support inventory management, and contribute to visual merchandising.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Help with unloading deliveries, organizing stockrooms, and ensuring efficient inventory flow.
- Participate in required training sessions and follow store policies.
- Support team members in resolving basic customer concerns and completing shared tasks.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university, specifically as a rising or current Junior or Senior.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
- At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
- Previous experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language, with proficiency in Spanish preferred.
- For internal candidates: Must have received at least a meets expectations rating on your most recent appraisal and completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses.
