About the role#
The Management and Sales Internship is a paid, 10-12 week summer program. It provides hands-on experience in retail store operations, sales, and management. You will gain insight into business-to-business and retail environments by working in a paint store. The program includes traveling with a Sales Representative and working with store management. You will also collaborate with other interns on a project that addresses a real business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in-store and over the phone.
- Maintain product displays and recommend items to customers.
- Develop a strong understanding of store merchandise to answer inquiries.
- Assist with point-of-sale transactions, product preparation and mixing, and general store maintenance.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a team-based project that addresses a real business challenge.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
