About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience in an aerospace and defense environment. You will work alongside industry experts on real-world projects, receive mentorship, and participate in cross-functional workshops to build your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to technical projects and team objectives.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to support engineering decisions.
- Perform hands-on technical work assignments.
- Attend planning meetings to understand project requirements and timelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 months remaining until graduation after the internship ends.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Hagerstown, Maryland.
- The role requires the ability to work in a laboratory or workshop environment, manual dexterity for handling equipment, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
