    About the role#

    Simmons Foods offers a summer internship for students pursuing a career in Human Resources. You will work on real-world projects that align with your field of study while gaining a practical understanding of our operational processes. This role is based at our poultry plant in Van Buren, Arkansas.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage a project that addresses a specific challenge within your assigned department.
    • Present your findings and project results to the team and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
    • Perform day-to-day tasks to learn the fundamentals of our business processes.
    • Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of team programs and policies.
    • Identify areas that lack cohesiveness and work with your team to resolve issues.
    • Support a culture of continuous improvement by finding ways to increase efficiency and maintain quality standards.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Knowledge of business and management principles.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours.
    • Ability to work in various temperatures.
    • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
