About the role#
WPDE in Myrtle Beach is looking for News Interns for the Fall 2026 term. You will learn how news is produced from start to finish. This role focuses on observational learning and hands-on experience in a broadcast environment. This is an unpaid internship and does not include benefits. You must coordinate your hours with your educational faculty to ensure you receive academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Observe daily news production processes.
- Gain hands-on experience in the newsroom.
- Work 10-20 hours per week, depending on your university requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Current registration in an internship course at your institution.
- Status as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Reliable transportation.
- Studies in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
