About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship offers exposure to water resources projects including dams, river diversions, land development, stream restoration, and utility work. You will work within our Ann Arbor office as part of a team, with potential opportunities to assist in other disciplines such as Transportation, Municipal Engineering, and Environmental Services.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field work, including data collection, site surveys, inspections, and observations.
- Prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and figures for design reports.
- Help prepare design and construction plans, specifications, quantity take-offs, and construction estimates.
- Support Project Managers with tasks to track and advance project progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, multi-task, and take direction.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcMap/GIS is desired.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
