    About the role#

    The Florida Department of Transportation offers paid internship opportunities across the Turnpike Enterprise. This program provides hands-on experience in the transportation industry, allowing interns to work across departments such as Transportation Development, Toll Operations, and Finance. You will contribute to agency goals while gaining practical knowledge in your chosen focus track.

    What you'll do#

    • Support daily tasks within departments like Transportation Development, Toll Operations, and Finance.
    • Assist with research, data analysis, and project support activities.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership, team leaders, and project managers.
    • Participate in team projects and contribute to agency goals.
    • Perform technical tasks within a selected focus track, such as Engineering, Transportation, or Business.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Ability to use standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to conduct research and analyze data.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Locations: Ocoee, Land O' Lakes, Boca Raton, and Pompano Beach, Florida.
    • Term: Rolling.
    • Status: Part-time (20 hours per week).
    • Compensation: Paid at $15.00 per hour.
