About the role#
STV is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Austin, Texas. You will work in a hybrid capacity, which requires at least three days per week in the office. We are looking for candidates who can commit to at least three months of work.
What you'll do#
- Support pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
- Assist with pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.
- Prepare construction and design cost estimates.
- Participate in the planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
- Review construction shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project design documents.
- Conduct site visits to observe construction installations and project progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- Interest or experience in the design of water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities.
- Familiarity with modeling, design software, or other production tools.
- Previous experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
