About the role#
As a Business Development Intern, you will gain exposure to the farming operations and business development activities at Summit Agricultural Group. You will work on projects related to livestock facility acquisitions, construction, and farmland management. This role requires accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and oversight of construction projects.
- Work with livestock production staff on business development initiatives.
- Manage farm real-estate assets, including farm visits, improvement assessments, and process refinement.
- Draft, execute, and manage agreements such as Contract Feeding Agreements, Manure Easements, and Cash Rent Leases.
- Maintain relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and community members.
- Manage special projects as they arise.
- Deliver a final presentation to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Real Estate, or Operations Management.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Alden, Iowa.
- The role is full-time and paid.
- The internship term is rolling.
