About the role#
This is a temporary full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work within the Land and Right of Way departments to assist with key functions and gain insight into energy sector operations. You will report to Regional Lead Agents and Team Leaders during this 10-week program.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Land Records department with document support.
- Support land agents with ownership and title research.
- Help field land agents negotiate surface access and rights-of-way for pipelines and roads.
- Review third-party development plans and right-of-way records to identify and resolve conflicts.
- Act as a liaison with landowners and tenants regarding easement rights, ownership, and access issues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Business Administration program focused on Energy Land Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with an oil and gas land department or an independent landman is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Lakewood, Colorado.
- The internship runs from May through August 2027.
- This is a paid position.
