    About the role#

    This internship provides practical exposure to geotechnical engineering and the business functions that support these services. You will work alongside professionals who contribute to real client projects and learn how technical decisions affect the community. The program helps you turn classroom learning into experience while you build a professional foundation for your future career.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments.
    • Support active project work and observe how technical decisions translate to client outcomes.
    • Build core skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report development.
    • Receive mentorship from professionals committed to your growth.
    • Participate in a nationwide internship cohort program with potential opportunities to share your experience with executive leadership.
    • Learn key areas including ASTM, DOT, and COE testing standards, project management fundamentals, and quality management systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
    • An interest in consulting and fieldwork.
    • Demonstrated curiosity, teamwork, and alignment with Terracon’s values.
    • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
