About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in safety and quality operations within a manufacturing environment. You will work on projects that support our commitment to food safety and environmental protection. You will be paired with a mentor and participate in a structured program to help you gain professional skills throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Write, review, and update safety and quality work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist with Environmental, Health & Safety projects, such as emissions surveys and water pollution prevention.
- Help the Quality Inspection Department maintain accurate and reliable data.
- Work with different teams to improve safety, quality, and general operations.
- Support training programs and employee engagement efforts regarding quality and welding requirements.
- Contribute to various compliance and continuous improvement tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program.
- Academic focus in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- A desire to advance your career and apply your technical knowledge in a real-world setting.
Location & details#
- Location: Winsted, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 31, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
