About the role#
Tetra Pak is hiring for three technical internship positions based in Denton, Texas. These are long-term roles running from May 31, 2027, through April 28, 2028. Interns will work full-time until mid-August, transitioning to a part-time schedule of up to 20 hours per week for the remainder of the term. You will receive guidance from a mentor and participate in an onboarding program to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
Depending on your specific assignment, you will contribute to one of three focus areas:
- Calibration: Manage and organize calibration kits, handle shipping and receiving, extract data from databases to build equipment lists, and assist in creating calibration procedures and forms.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in factory improvement activities, engage in Kaizen and WCM Pillar meetings, support Reward and Recognition initiatives, and drive Visual Management projects.
- Industrial Engineering: Support productivity and quality objectives, analyze manufacturing processes to identify efficiency gains, assist with process improvement in the finishing area, and collect and analyze operational data to reduce waste and rework.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, ideally within your final two years of study.
- Relevant majors include Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Metrology, Food Science, or Quality Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in calibration is specifically required for the Calibration role.
Location & details#
- Location: Denton, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22-$25 per hour.
- Requirements: Interns working in the factory must wear company-provided uniforms and safety gear, including steel-toe shoes. Jewelry must be removed while on the production floor.
