About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern position focuses on learning the retail business from the ground up. You will work closely with store management to develop leadership skills while contributing to the overall guest experience. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Austin, Texas, with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete core training modules from the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking your results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using the Performance Tracker tool for specific departments or company initiatives.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area Manager and District Manager.
- Perform daily store tasks such as sales, merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the sales floor.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and take ownership of assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management from a four-year college or university.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
