About the role#
The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our guests. You will work alongside the Store Manager to learn how our retail business operates and gain insight into what is required to succeed in management. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Help guests try on or fit merchandise.
- Check out and bag purchases.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Complete orientation and leadership modules from the management manual.
- Provide weekly progress reports to the Area and District Managers.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform operational tasks such as handling freight, re-merchandising, and maintaining a clean store.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a field like Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- You have an interest in a long-term commitment with Buckle.
- You are able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- You have the physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
