About the role#
The AI Innovation Development Program (AIIDP) Summer internship offers undergraduate students a chance to explore how AI solutions are developed and applied in healthcare. You will work within the AI Innovation Office to learn how ideas move from concept to prototype while gaining experience in a professional, collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with building and testing simple AI-powered or data-driven solutions.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and surface potential insights or opportunities.
- Contribute to data exploration, testing, documentation, and solution refinement.
- Participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and project updates.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, or similar programming and analytics tools.
- Experience using generative AI tools through coursework, projects, or hackathons.
- Exposure to programming, data analysis, or technical problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027, starting May 24, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Modality: Hybrid. Interns are expected to work in the office at least three days per week.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour.
- Sponsorship: This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
