About the role#
The Mosaic Company is hiring an Accounting & Finance Co-Op/Intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time role based at our FishHawk site in Lithia, Florida. You will work in a hybrid capacity, contributing to our corporate accounting team while gaining hands-on experience in the mining industry.
What you'll do#
- Complete rotational assignments in areas such as inventory costing, revenue, reporting, leasing, and financial analysis.
- Handle daily tasks including data and cost analysis, posting journals, report writing, balance sheet reconciliations, and data management.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly closing responsibilities.
- Participate in department and project-specific meetings.
- Communicate with diverse personnel, including management, engineers, plant operators, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Junior standing or above by May 2027, pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- A GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- 1-2 years of experience through work, volunteering, or student organizations. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time hours while maintaining student status.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, climb stairs, and work in varying temperature environments.
- Successful completion of pre-placement screenings, including background checks and physical examinations, is required.
