About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Electrical Engineer Co-Op/Intern position for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site, primarily at our Bartow, Florida location, with some travel to other Florida sites as needed. The role runs from May 10, 2027, to August 20, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Lead electrical power system reliability improvement projects.
- Participate in root cause failure analysis and execute corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot electrical power system issues, including equipment failures and electrical faults.
- Perform software-based electrical power system modeling, including field verification and data collection.
- Analyze existing electrical preventative maintenance plans and develop or implement new ones.
- Communicate with management, plant operators, engineers, and contractors across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and will be at the third-year level or above by May 2027.
- A GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory, including AC distribution, transformation, AC/DC motor control, and power/analog/digital electronics.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- 1-2 years of experience through work, volunteering, or student organizations is preferred.
- Ability to work in an industrial chemical and mining environment, including occasional outdoor work with exposure to heat and cold.
