The Nuclear Company builds the Nuclear Operating System (NOS), which manages the regulatory, supply chain, cost, schedule, and field work required to build nuclear reactors. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join an engineering squad to build software used by teams constructing power plants. You will work alongside full-time engineers and nuclear experts to ship features directly to production. This is a six-month, full-time co-op running from January to June 2027.

    • Turn build-a-thon prototypes into production-grade features and develop deployment tools for field teams.

    • Strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern language, such as Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, Rust, or C++.
    • A demonstrated track record of shipping working software through course projects, personal projects, or prior internships.
    • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) is required.
    • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC, five days a week, for the full six-month term.
