About the role#
The UNM Taos Office of Student Affairs is hiring an Assistant Student Resource Navigator. This role supports student engagement and promotes student success through direct resource navigation and outreach. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Shop for, stock, clean, and track inventory of food and hygiene products for the Thrive Food and Resource Center and campus safety bins.
- Conduct outreach to students in person, by phone, via email, and through social media to share available resources.
- Help students access campus and community services.
- Research and maintain an up-to-date UNMT Resource Guide.
- Host tables at campus and community events to represent the department.
- Post flyers in the community and at Klauer and Rio Grande Hall, and maintain bulletin boards in Padre Martinez Hall.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and attend meetings.
- Maintain confidential records for all student interactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a major such as Sociology, Psychology, Communications, Public Health, or Human Resources.
- Ability to inventory supplies and support student engagement activities.
- Understanding of available campus and community resources.
- Skills in effective communication for customer service and outreach.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records.
