About the role#
As a Business Development Student Intern at the SBDC at UNM-Taos, you will work with professional business advisors to support local entrepreneurs. This role offers hands-on experience in business consulting, research, and project management while helping small business owners develop growth strategies.
What you'll do#
- Assist business advisors during one-on-one consultations with clients.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and potential clients.
- Prepare reports and summaries to help clients make informed decisions.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and maintaining client databases.
What you'll need#
- A current major in Business Administration.
- Strong communication skills for both in-person and online interactions.
- Ability to multitask using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email applications.
- A genuine interest in supporting the growth of local businesses.
- Eagerness to learn about business development.
