    About the role#

    The Overnight Student Safety & Operations Coordinator serves as the primary contact for residence hall safety, student support, and operational continuity during overnight hours. This professional role ensures compliance with departmental protocols, provides real-time supervision of student staff, and supports incident response and facilities coordination. This is a non-live-in, full-time position that requires late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

    What you'll do#

    • Serve as the primary overnight point of contact for the Student Safety team.
    • Supervise and lead the overnight Student Safety team, providing real-time coaching and accountability.
    • Develop and manage overnight and extended coverage schedules, addressing last-minute staffing changes.
    • Support the Professional Staff On-Call during crisis response and ensure staff follow protocols during emergencies.
    • Conduct first-level review of overnight incident reports and provide feedback to staff.
    • Monitor and identify trends in overnight incidents, including repeat behaviors or locations.
    • Triage maintenance and safety concerns, submitting and verifying work orders with accurate documentation.
    • Conduct proactive safety inspections of residence halls and campus facilities to identify hazards or unsecured access points.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • At least 3 years of experience directly related to these duties.
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
    • Experience in residence life, student housing, or supervising student staff is preferred.
    • Experience in crisis response or high-pressure environments is preferred.
    • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
    • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: This is a two-year term position.
