About the role#
The Walsh Group offers internships in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area for students interested in construction careers. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management. We match interns with roles that align with their academic goals to prepare them for potential full-time positions after graduation. This is a paid, full-time opportunity.
What you'll do#
Interns work on jobsites or within our estimating and preconstruction departments. Your daily tasks include:
- Assisting project managers and field supervision staff with project coordination.
- Estimating costs for change orders.
- Writing RFIs and submittals.
- Soliciting bidders and coordinating subcontractor activity.
- Managing safety protocols.
- Handling document control and scheduling for contracts and materials.
- Participating in team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Availability to commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- Willingness to relocate for specific roles if required.
