About the role#
The Walsh Group offers an internship program for students interested in construction careers. This program provides hands-on experience in project engineering and field management to prepare you for future leadership roles. You will work on jobsites or in regional offices. What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and field supervision staff with daily project coordination.
- Estimate costs for change orders.
- Solicit bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity.
- Manage project data, submittals, and contract scheduling.
- Oversee safety management procedures.
- Write RFIs and participate in team meetings.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- You can commit to a 12-week work schedule.
- You are willing to relocate if a specific role requires it.
Location & details#
- Locations include Concord, Van Nuys, Calabasas, Los Angeles, Seal Beach, and Carpinteria, California.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- The pay range is $22 to $26 per hour.
- Benefits include medical insurance, paid holidays, and 401(k) matching contributions.
- This program follows a rolling term.
