About the role#
As a Water Engineering Intern, you will join the Water Business Line in our Rhinebeck, New York office. You will work with our team to deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast. This role involves supporting the planning, design, and construction of conveyance systems, treatment plants, and pump stations. You will assist with capital improvement planning, hydraulic modeling, and asset management programs.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and documentation for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Perform engineering calculations to support project needs.
- Assist staff with various study, design, and construction projects or field assignments.
- Participate in company-wide Intern Day activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program for Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework.
- Previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems.
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness.
- Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Proficiency with office software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
