About the role#
This internship position is part of our Data Platform team. You will join one of our subdivisions to gain practical experience with the products and services that support our firm. You will work alongside technologists and business experts to contribute to real projects while building your professional network.
What you'll do#
- Ingest data across all business lines.
- Make data available to internal users.
- Manage data access and platform tools.
- Run critical data production services.
- Develop new data products and tools.
- Explore how AI and emerging technologies apply to our business.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, SQL, and Git.
- Comfort working in Linux environments and using command-line tools.
- Understanding of database technologies, architectures, and their use cases.
- Strong grasp of fundamental systems concepts and the ability to explain technical trade-offs.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects is a plus.
