About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in construction management. You will work on-site at a project location or in an office setting to build foundational knowledge of project lifecycles, safety protocols, and subcontractor coordination. This role is designed to help you apply your academic studies to real-world construction activities while working under the supervision of project engineers, superintendents, and managers.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with document control, file management, material tracking, and meeting coordination.
- Assist with the processing of shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities and track job schedules.
- Help prepare quantity take-offs, studies, and estimates for changes in work.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out preparations.
- Comply with all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Provide regular progress reports to your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Completion of at least one year of education or equivalent experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and comprehend written information.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn about the construction industry.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to standard business hours and potential overtime as required by the assignment.
