About the role#
Turner Construction Company is hiring an IS Services & Support Intern or Co-Op to work within our Information Services team. You will support the maintenance of information systems, contribute to cybersecurity protocols, and analyze data to improve workflows. Depending on business needs, you may work from our main office or an active construction project site.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with asset management, including tracking hardware, software licenses, and network devices.
- Deploy hardware and software, including imaging devices and setting up project sites.
- Create and update documentation for IS inventory, user guides, and troubleshooting steps.
- Develop training materials and assist with sessions to help end users understand IS systems.
- Test and validate new software, updates, and system configurations.
- Manage support tickets and prioritize requests as directed.
- Collaborate with team members on projects like system upgrades and technology implementations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Industrial Engineering program.
- Ability to apply academic knowledge to practical work activities.
- Willingness to learn about IS practices and take direction from your supervisor.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with IS team members.
- Willingness to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment when visiting construction sites.
