About the role#
The Group Fitness Supervisor II provides administrative and operational leadership for the Group Fitness program at The WELL. This role focuses on staff records, program communications, scheduling, and instructor support. You will work alongside professional staff and other student employees to maintain organized and consistent operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain instructor certifications and staff rosters to ensure records stay current.
- Manage class scheduling, including coverage, staffing updates, and schedule changes.
- Coordinate instructor substitutions and communicate coverage needs.
- Assist with class management, including check-ins, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
- Plan and coordinate one to two special events each semester.
- Teach Group Fitness classes if qualified and assigned.
- Prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets for the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Sacramento State with eligibility for student employment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage records, schedules, and spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of starting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with instructors and professional staff.
Location & details#
- Location: Sacramento, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.40 per hour.
- Schedule: Shifts available Monday through Saturday. Students generally work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks.
- Employment type: Part-time, temporary, non-benefited student position.
