About the role#
The Director of Student Resources and Accessibility leads academic and housing accommodation processes for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville at the Pulaski campus. You will act as the primary expert on disability accommodations, ensuring compliance with the ADA, Section 504, and other federal and state regulations. This role involves coordinating comprehensive academic support efforts, including tutoring, supplemental instruction, and peer mentoring.
What you'll do#
- Assess student accommodation requests and engage students to develop individual accommodation plans.
- Review documentation from medical, psychological, and educational professionals to determine appropriate support.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of tutor management, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Develop new strategies to increase student access to and engagement with tutoring services.
- Provide education and training to faculty, staff, and students regarding accommodation resources and processes.
- Collaborate with academic departments to improve services and support student success.
- Collect and analyze data to identify student needs and assess the effectiveness of current programs.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in education, case management, tutoring, or academic support services.
- Ability to interpret medical and psychoeducational documentation.
- Experience coordinating and leading team activities.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience interacting successfully with students, faculty, and staff.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pulaski, Tennessee.
