About the role#
The Senior Associate Director of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides operational leadership at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This role manages multiple functional areas, supervises staff, and ensures the office meets institutional goals. You will exercise independent judgment in personnel management and daily operations while working within established regulatory frameworks.
What you'll do#
- Oversee institutional, foundation, and departmental scholarship operations.
- Assist the Director in managing federal Title IV financial aid programs.
- Monitor scholarship processes, internal controls, and compliance activities.
- Deliver responsive, accurate, and student-centered financial aid services.
- Partner with campus stakeholders to support coordinated service delivery.
- Supervise professional and support staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to support audit readiness and stewardship of funds.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Significant experience in financial aid, scholarships, or student services.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing multiple functional areas.
- Working knowledge of financial aid operations and program administration.
- Master’s degree is preferred.

- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- Status: Full-time, on-site.
- Salary: $80,200 to $90,000.
