About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in managing events across all 17 University of Wyoming athletic sports. You will learn the daily and weekly tasks required to operate athletic facilities and produce events. This role helps you build a professional network while developing skills in multitasking and decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of playing surfaces, press areas, and spectator sections.
- Serve as a liaison to visiting teams, officials, and event guests.
- Support staff with credential checks and crowd control.
- Work at various events including high school football championships, athletic camps, concerts, and private rentals.
What you'll need#
- Must be a full-time student enrolled at the University of Wyoming.
- Ability to work most athletic events and all football games.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university business standards.
- Ability to work as a team member and follow directions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to perform manual labor, including lifting, walking on stairs and ramps, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfort working in various weather conditions during outdoor events.
