About the role#
As a Student Educational Opportunity (SEO) Tutor, you will help students develop study skills, clarify course material, and build a positive approach to learning. You will support students enrolled in various educational grant programs. This position offers flexible scheduling, with weekly hours determined by the number of tutoring requests and the specific courses you are qualified to teach.
What you'll do#
- Meet with 1-5 students per semester to track their progress and answer questions.
- Challenge students to use their course materials effectively to improve their performance.
- Communicate with students via phone, Zoom, email, and in-person.
- Attend regular SEO tutor trainings and CRLA trainings provided by the STEP tutoring program.
- Maintain documentation for record-keeping purposes.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least three semesters of postsecondary education.
- A grade of B or better in any class you wish to tutor.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- We look for tutors across various fields, including Biology, Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, and Psychology.

- This is an on-site position located in Laramie, Wyoming.
- The role is part-time and paid.
- Hiring is conducted on a rolling basis.
