About the role#
The University of Wyoming is hiring a Research Intern to support the plant breeding program at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center. This is a full-time, paid position that provides technical support for ongoing agricultural research projects.
What you'll do#
- Oversee greenhouse production of field peas.
- Assist with field data collection and cross pollination.
- Help with harvesting and threshing crops.
- Count seeds following the harvest process.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Experience in plant breeding or a related field.
- Ability to manage greenhouse production tasks.
- Experience collecting data in the field.
- Technical support skills.
- Majors in areas such as Agriculture, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Kinesiology, Nursing, or Public Health are relevant to this work.

- This role is based on-site at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center in Sheridan, Wyoming.
- The position follows a rolling term.
