    About the role#

    As a Student Nurse Assistant, you will work with nursing staff to care for acutely ill patients. You will gain experience in a hospital setting while working under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a year-round position with flexible scheduling to accommodate your school commitments.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide direct physical care to patients in situations where you have demonstrated competency and knowledge of the required techniques.
    • Assist the nursing team with patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science).
    • Successful completion of your program's hands-on entry-level clinical course.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
    • Previous health care experience is preferred.
    • Completion of the SNA Supplemental Packet is required for your application to be considered.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Madison, Wisconsin.
    • Schedule: This role is 20% FTE, requiring approximately 16 hours per pay period. You will generally work every other weekend, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Day, evening, and night shifts are available, and you may be required to work holidays.
    • Compensation: $18 per hour, plus additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
