About the role#
Join the Policy Engineering team to build an enterprise-grade cloud data governance platform. You will work on software used by Fortune 500 clients to manage and protect sensitive data in complex, multi-cloud environments. This internship offers hands-on experience shipping production software and exposure to large-scale distributed systems.
What you'll do#
- Develop internal tooling, testing harnesses, and AI-assisted utilities to improve engineering quality.
- Write backend code in Go within a production-grade codebase.
- Build and maintain automated test suites and evaluation frameworks to validate system behavior.
- Prototype AI and LLM-powered tools for development workflows, such as automated test generation or code analysis.
- Collaborate with senior engineers through design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Learn modern backend and cloud engineering practices including distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and multi-tenant SaaS design.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience using AI tooling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- A detail-oriented and proactive mindset.
