About the role#
As an Operations Intern, you will support manufacturing processes at our Macungie facility. This role focuses on the research, development, and implementation of tooling solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency on the assembly line. You will work alongside our methods and manufacturing engineering teams to standardize production practices and integrate new technologies.
What you'll do#
- Research and document innovative tooling solutions including fastening, lifting, and automation equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and prototype new tools in our Innovation Space.
- Use continuous improvement methods to refine ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.
- Implement emerging technologies such as robotics, AI, machine learning, and virtual manufacturing.
- Support department competence development by creating and maintaining standard practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Science engineering program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- Status as a Junior or Senior is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of dependability.
- Ability to work autonomously while taking initiative on projects.
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and a variety of tasks.

- Compensation: Paid position ($17.00 - $46.00 per hour depending on location, academic level, and field of study).
